Finding the Inverse of a Matrix

The following instructions apply to a TI83 or TI84 graphing calculator.

After creating the original matrix:
  1. "2nd"
  2. "x-1" (matrix)



  3. "enter" on the matrix we want to invert.



  4. Now the key "x-1"



  5. "enter"




There are 2 screens because the values are long and will not fit in just one screen.

**You can turn the answers into fractions.
  1. "math"
  2. "enter" at "Frac" then hit "enter" again and the following screen will appear.
